BS Detector · For women in tech and leadership

For women who are done
with burnout by default.

It’s not you. It’s the system. BS Detector checks a company before you say yes, so you can choose a workplace that fits your life, not the other way round.

BS Detector is a skill for Claude and ChatGPT, made for women in tech and leadership who are rethinking what success looks like.

Things we’ve heard at work “We’re like a family.” “Flexible, as long as you’re always online.” “Anyone with a family should think about whether they still want to work here.”

Before you say yes, interview them back.

The hiring process is a company on its best behaviour. This free guide helps you read it, and ask the questions you used to swallow.

  • A 5-minute checklist and a red-flag score, for before, during and after every interview
  • 14 red flags to notice in the process: how it’s run, what they ask you, what they say, and how they react to your questions
  • The questions to ask, who to ask, and what a green and a red flag answer sound like
  • Things you can say in awkward moments, a follow-up email, and how to research a company in the US, UK & Europe and Poland

It’s not you

We were told women have to be resilient. So we became resilient.

Nobody asks what it really costs us.

Exhaustion became the price of ambition.

Success still means always available. That model was built for people with no one to care for.

Our leadership gets called soft.

Building trust, holding the team together: everyone relies on it, nobody promotes it.

Flexibility costs us credibility.

It’s there on paper. Using it shows up in your next review.

None of this is a resilience problem. It’s how the workplace was designed. And the design shows before you join, if you know where to look.

A better question

Not “will they hire me?” But “do I want to work there?”

BS Detector checks a company for you before you invest weeks in its interviews: who left, what the numbers say, what was promised and what’s in writing. Every finding with a source and a date. Red flags and green ones.

So you walk in with your eyes open, ask the questions you used to swallow, and say yes, or no, on your terms.

Is it for you?

Sound familiar?

You’re a woman in tech or leadership, and one of these sounds familiar.

You’re close to burnout, or already there.

The culture around you takes more than it gives. Evenings, weekends, always on. And it’s starting to cost you more than work should.

You’re wondering what’s next.

Maybe you’ve started looking. But the risk of the next place scares you more than staying. What if it’s the same, or worse?

You’re interviewing, and trying to read the culture.

Everyone says the culture is great. You want to know if it will let you keep your balance, before you find out the hard way.

You have an offer on the table.

Maybe two. It looks good on paper, and you want to be sure what you’d really be saying yes to.

How it works

Four steps, one skill.

You never have to learn commands. Just say where you are (“after the interview”, “I have an offer”) or ask “What can you do?”.

  1. Step 1 · InvestigateIs this company worth my time?Financial health, layoffs, leadership changes, turnover in the role, recent reviews, pay transparency, your future manager, whether the role is set up to succeed, and how exposed it is to AI. Every finding with a source and a date. You’ll have: a one-screen summary, a full report with red and green flags, and a question plan for every interview stage.
  2. Step 2 · EvaluateWhat did I hear, and what are they offering?Paste the sentences you remember from an interview, then the offer and contract. It shows what was said vs. what’s in writing, compares the pay with the market, flags clauses worth a second look, and explains equity in plain numbers. You’ll have: a debrief, a follow-up email, and a negotiation email ready to send.
  3. Step 3 · DecideWhich option is right for me?Two or more options side by side, against your priorities and non-negotiables.You’ll have: the biggest risk of each option in the next 12 months. You make the call.
  4. Step 4 · PrepareHow do I start safely?Taking the job, even with a few flags? It turns them into safeguards. You’ll have: your own warning signs to watch and a first-90-days plan with dates.

The Full Journey ($49) covers all four steps. Want a second opinion? Add an hour with me ($149). Every report ends with a “You are here” map and the next step, so you always know when to come back.

Built for women

The questions you actually need answered.

Most company research treats every candidate the same. But for women, company culture matters even more: trust, a manager who doesn’t micromanage, and being judged on outcomes, not hours. BS Detector looks at what matters to women, and shows you how to ask about it without telling anyone about your plans.

How you’ll be led

Trust, not micromanagement

What reviews and your future manager’s track record say about trust, ownership and being measured on outcomes, not hours. Plus the questions that reveal it in the interview.

Who leads

Women in leadership and the pay gap

How many women are in leadership, and what the company has published about pay.

Your life

Family, health policies & flexibility

Parental leave, days off when a child is sick, pregnancy loss, fertility and menopause policies. Plus flexible hours and remote work: what’s in writing, and whether people actually use it.

Your time

Benefits and time off, in numbers

Paid leave, sick leave, hours, health cover, pension and learning budget, compared with the legal minimum.

Never

BS Detector never suggests telling an employer about your family, your health or your plans. It helps you find the policy, not explain yourself.

Why I built it

My bullshit detector is pretty sensitive by now ;)

A week into my first full-time job, my boss told me he couldn’t imagine having kids and then not showing up for work because they were sick. My son was two and a half.

Over the years I learned that the hardest part of leaving a job isn’t leaving. It’s the risk of the next one. Will the culture be any better? Will they give you flexibility by default? Or will you have to explain yourself every time your kid has a fever?

BS Detector is that detector, turned into a skill. It’s never easy, but I want the price of asking hard questions to get lower for the women who come next.

I stand with women in tech.

I’m not writing this from the outside.

I built a team that was mostly women, and for years I was their umbrella. I kept the pressure off them, so they could do their best work.

Then I burned out, in a culture that made it worse, not better, and I left a leadership role.

I know I’m not the only one. So many women I know feel the same way.

How it works with facts
  • A lead, not a verdict. It never calls a company “toxic” or a “scam”.
  • Every finding has a source and a date. If it can’t find something, it says so.
  • Green flags too. It doesn’t scare you for the sake of it.

Questions

Good to know

What do I need to use it?

Claude (Free, Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise) with code execution and web search turned on, or ChatGPT with search. Installing takes about 2 minutes.

Who sees my reports?

Nobody but you. Reports are created by the AI assistant in your own account. I don’t see your conversations or your reports.

Does it log into LinkedIn or Glassdoor for me?

No. It uses public information only. Where a site needs you to be signed in, it tells you exactly what to check yourself, for example a 10-minute LinkedIn check of your future manager.

Will it tell me a company is toxic?

No. It shows signals and sources, red and green, and what to ask about. You decide.

Which companies does it work for?

Companies in the US, the UK and Europe, and Poland. Reports come in your language.

Is this legal advice?

No. The offer and contract check helps you ask better questions. For anything you sign, a short review by an employment lawyer is worth it.

How does the hour with Pati work?

After you buy, I’ll email you to find a time. Use the hour in one go or as two 30-minute calls. Send me your report before we talk, so we spend the time on you, not on catching up. Afterwards you get a short note with what we agreed and your next steps.

What about updates?

New versions arrive at the same download link, and I’ll email you when there’s one.
